Free Standing Canopy Covers for Pontoons with Pontoon Legs

Pontoon legs protect your pontoon from the bottom up, while Hewitt free standing canopies protect it from the top down. Designed for pontoons with pontoon legs, these canopies provide dependable protection from sun, wind, and rain, helping preserve your pontoon’s value and appearance throughout the season. All-aluminum, maintenance-free frames offer strength and style, with a wide selection of frame colors to complement your shoreline.

The free standing frame is built from large, 3-inch square aluminum tubing and features a cross-braced design so the entire canopy and frame can be moved as one piece when needed. Screw-in anchoring posts ensure secure placement. The canopy top includes cross bows every two feet for added support, and quick-release center support straps keep the cover from billowing in the wind. Tension cords keep the covering taut for easy installation and removal, while heat-welded seams prevent thread rot and water infiltration. Canopy length can be extended at any time for minimal cost, and four canopy extensions allow easy adjustment for different pontoon heights.

Canopies are available in 120-inch and 138-inch widths and a variety of lengths for a custom fit. Choose from four styles: standard, tower, peak roof, or curtain frame, each with premium vinyl or Defender fabric for long-lasting durability. Mesh curtain options offer added side protection while allowing airflow to keep your pontoon dry. With a Hewitt free standing pontoon canopy, you get years of reliable coverage and simple, effective top-down protection.

Multiple secure connection points and reinforced corner patches add long-term strength, whether your canopy is used on the shoreline or away from a lift. Canopy covers feature center snaps and webbing straps at tie-down points, each secured through at least three layers of material. This design distributes pressure across a wider area, outperforming traditional grommet systems and ensuring lasting protection on the water.
