Hydraulic Pontoon Legs Built for Stability in Rough Water
Hewitt’s hydraulic wide base pontoon legs are engineered for pontoon owners who boat in rougher conditions and demand superior stability. Featuring specially angled mounting brackets, these legs create an unmatched 72" stance—the widest of any onboard pontoon lift system. That added width gives your twin or triple pontoon a rock-solid foundation when raising or lowering on choppy water, windy bays, or uneven shorelines. Like our straight leg models, the wide base version offers fast, independent front and rear hydraulic control for smooth, stable lifting wherever you are—at your dock, a sandbar, or a remote lakeside stop. Made from heavy-duty 6" aluminum tubing and powered by dual synchronized pumps, these rugged legs offer unmatched strength and lift performance. With Hewitt’s wide base pontoon legs, you get all the freedom of a hydraulic lift with the added confidence of a broader, more stable footprint.

SUITABLE FOR EXISTING TRAILERS & PONTOONS
Leg assemblies are solidly bolted to the existing frame members of your pontoon boat and will not interfere with trailering or normal operation. In the retracted position, legs extend less than 6-1/2” below the deck allowing the use of scissor or bunk style trailers. Wide-Base models add approximately 425 lbs with a capacity of 6000 lbs. Each leg assembly stands on a 30”-long, pivoting foot that compensates for uneven terrain and provides excellent stability, even on soft bottoms. At maximum leg extension, the underside of the boat’s deck is 72” above the bottom of the feet.
HYDRAULIC WIDE BASE PONTOON LEGS FEATURES
On-Board Pendant and Wireless Remote
Control your pontoon legs with a wired pendant or wireless key fob. LiftTrack™ LED system displays the arc-of-travel and real-time leg positions, making leveling easy whether you're on the boat, dock, or shoreline.
2″ Hydraulic Cylinders
Hewitt’s pontoon legs use 2" diameter hydraulic cylinders—20% stronger than those found on typical pontoon sea legs. This increased strength ensures smoother operation, greater lifting power, and longer-lasting durability on the water.
Leg Assemblies in Retracted Position
Hydraulic pontoon leg assemblies mount securely to your boat’s frame and retract to extend less than 6.5" below deck. This ensures full compatibility with scissor and bunk trailers without affecting normal trailering or boating.
Dual Synchronized Pumps
Our hydraulic pontoon leg systems feature dual synchronized pumps—one for front legs and one for rear. This prevents uneven lifting, eliminating side-to-side lean and improving stability during deployment or retraction.
Extra Reinforcement
Hewitt hydraulic pontoon legs are engineered with 6" diameter aluminum tubing and internal reinforcement for maximum durability and load capacity—offering stronger, more reliable performance than competitor pontoon sea legs on any terrain.
Heavy-Duty Pivot with Brass Bushings
Each leg features a heavy-duty pivot system with brass bushings. This high-quality design reduces wear, increases longevity, and delivers consistent, smooth operation of your pontoon sea legs season after season.
