A Reliable Vertical Boat Lift for Deep Water and Fluctuating Levels
The Hewitt Hi-Lift is a durable and economical vertical boat lift designed for deep water applications and waterfronts with changing water levels. Unlike traditional cable boat lifts with limited vertical range, the Hi-Lift offers true direct vertical movement—making it ideal for deeper shorelines, lakes with seasonal fluctuation, or watercraft that require more clearance. Its unique side-bar frame design adds superior stability and safer access compared to conventional “V”-style frames.
Available in twelve different models, the Hewitt Hi-Lift vertical boat lift supports a wide range of vessels with lifting capacities from 1,100 lbs to 10,000 lbs. Whether you're lifting a fishing boat, pontoon, or jet ski, the Hi-Lift is a dependable solution for vertical pontoon lifts, vertical jet ski lifts, and more. Easy to operate and built with Hewitt’s proven engineering, this deep water boat lift is ready to handle your shoreline challenges with confidence.

HI-LIFT VERTICAL BOAT LIFT FEATURES
Winches
Hewitt’s vertical boat lifts offer winch options tailored to lift size. Smaller models (HL1100–1600) use Dutton Lainson winches with 4:1 or 6:1 gear ratios. Mid-size lifts (HL2600–5600) use high-efficiency winches with 15:1 or 20:1 ratios. All manual winches feature a 40" aluminum spinner wheel. Larger cable boat lifts (HL6600–10000) come standard with electric winches, including E-drive and optional 24V motors.
Bunk Systems
Designed to protect your craft, our vertical boat lifts feature bunk systems tailored to the lift size. The HL1100 and HL1600 come with four non-scratch cradles and two keel protectors. HL2600–6600 models feature full-length carpeted bunks and two keel protectors. For larger applications, HL8000 and HL10000 include durable carpeted aluminum V-bunks—ideal for heavier boats, pontoons, and vertical jet ski lift setups.
Optional Adjustable Screw Leg
Optional screw legs make it easy to level your deep water boat lift, even on uneven lakebeds. These legs offer 30" of total height adjustment and fit the Hi-Lift vertical boat lifts from 2600 to 5600 lbs. Operation is simple using a cordless drill, making setup fast and efficient for varied shoreline conditions.
1100-1600 Series Cables
Designed for long-lasting durability and smooth performance, these vertical boat lifts feature a corrosion-resistant aluminum frame, pre-strung stainless steel cables, and full-width acetal Delrin pulleys with hardened, cast bronze bushings. The end-mounted pulley system eliminates exposed cables at the center of the winch tube, reducing the chance of cable interference or wear. This setup ensures reliable lifting for smaller craft in both shallow and deep water environments.
2600-10000 Series Cables
Built for heavy-duty lifting, these vertical boat lifts feature a corrosion-resistant aluminum frame, pre-strung stainless steel cables, and full-width acetal Delrin pulleys with hardened, cast bronze bushings. End-mounted pulleys eliminate exposed cables at the center of the winch tube to prevent interference. This rugged construction ensures smooth, trouble-free operation for larger boats, pontoons, and vertical jet ski lifts in demanding conditions.
Leveling Legs
All Hi-Lift vertical boat lifts come equipped with four stainless steel leveling legs and quick-release pins for easy height adjustment. Standard leg lengths are 30" on lifts from 1100 to 6600 lbs and 48" on 8000 to 10,000 lb models. Extended-length legs are also available, providing added flexibility for installation on uneven or sloped lakebeds.
Cable Adjustment Bolts
Each vertical boat lift includes extra-long cable adjustment bolts to simplify cable tensioning and optimize lift performance. These bolts allow for easy rebalancing as loads shift or over time with regular use.
