Hewitt’s floating boat lift—also known as a boat port—is the perfect companion for floating dock systems, especially in deep or fluctuating water conditions. Designed to rise and fall with changing water levels, our floating lifts perform reliably in as little as 4 to 8 feet of water. With capacities ranging from 1,200 to 10,000 lbs, they can accommodate everything from jet skis to pontoons and standard boats, offering a flexible solution for a wide variety of watercraft.

Each lift is built with a fully welded galvanized steel frame and rotationally molded polyethylene float tanks with reinforced ribs for strength and durability. The system requires just one walkway finger along the side of the lift—ideal for “L” or “U”-shaped dock configurations—and installs easily on most floating docks. Once in place, the dock and floating boat port move together, minimizing stress and enhancing long-term stability. Hewitt floating lifts can also be mounted to stationary docks, provided water levels fluctuate no more than 16 inches in total. Durable, Low-Maintenance Construction

Built to endure harsh marine environments, each lift features a fully welded galvanized steel frame with heavy-duty 3/16" side walls. The float tanks are rotationally molded from high-strength polyethylene and include internal rib reinforcement for added rigidity. This tough construction makes Hewitt’s floating boat port a reliable, long-term solution for any watercraft.

Shallow & Deep Water Ready

These floating boat lifts acn be installed in water as shallow as 4 to 8 feet to as deep as you want. Whether you're using a floating jet ski lift, a floating pontoon lift, or a standard model, the system adapts seamlessly to varying lakebed conditions and fluctuating water levels.

Boat Port Lift Operation

The boat port lift includes an electric pump that raises and lowers the lift by changing the buoyancy of the flotation tanks. It requested access to a standard 115V AC outlet to power the pump lift. In remote or off-grid locations, a small portable generator or 24V battery system can be used instead. This power flexibility ensures your drive on boat lift stays functional wherever you install it.

A simple turn of a lever is all it takes. The pump is housed in a water resistant poly enclosure with a key locking lid. The amount of time needed to fully raise the lift depends on the weight of the boat. In general, it takes approximately one minute per 1000 pounds of boat weight.
